By creating an account or using People Person ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use the Service.
2. Your Account
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
- You agree to provide accurate information when signing up.
- You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account.
3. Acceptable Use
Don't use People Person to:
- Store information about people without a lawful basis under your local privacy laws (GDPR Art. 6, CCPA, etc.).
- Upload illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringing content.
- Attempt to break, probe, or reverse-engineer the Service.
- Resell, scrape, or systematically extract our data, or another user's data.
- Use the Service to harass, stalk, or surveil other people.
4. Your Content
You own the contacts, notes, recordings, business card images, profile data, summaries, tags, and any other content you put into the Service. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and process that content solely to operate the Service for you. This includes:
- Sending audio to Google Gemini for transcription
- Sending business card images to Google Gemini Vision for one-time OCR (the image is then deleted)
- Sending text to Google Gemini for AI summaries
- Reading your calendar via Google Calendar API or Microsoft Graph API when you explicitly connect them (read-only, no writes)
- Sending you transactional emails via Gmail API
We do not use your content to train AI models or for any purpose other than running the Service for you.
5. AI Output Disclaimer
Transcriptions, summaries, and OCR results are generated by AI (Google Gemini) and may contain inaccuracies. Always verify important details before relying on them. AI outputs are for personal reference, not professional advice (medical, legal, financial, or otherwise).
5.1 Third-Party Services
You acknowledge that the Service depends on third-party providers (Google, Microsoft, Cloudflare, Railway). Their availability, terms, and policies apply when you use connected features. We are not responsible for outages or policy changes by those providers.
6. Service Changes & Availability
The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. We may modify, pause, or discontinue features without prior notice. We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or temporary unavailability.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, People Person and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
